Henry T. Nicholas, III Research Fellowships

The Center for Embedded Computer Systems (CECS) at the University of California, Irvine (UCI) announces that it is receiving graduate student applications for two Henry T. Nicholas, III Research Fellowships for the 2005-2006 academic year. These research fellowships will provide a graduate student stipend plus the payment of tuition and fees for one academic year including summer support. Applicants must satisfy the following requirements:

  1. Applicant must have passed PhD examination at University of California, Irvine
  2. Applicant’s thesis advisor must be a member of the Center for Embedded Computer Systems
  3. Applicant’s should submit a 2 page research description to include: succinct discussion of interdisciplinary research novelty, proposed extensions of interdisciplinary research, and be able to demonstrate prototype or proof of concept
  4. Research projects described on the CECS web site will be given priority
