About me

I recently join the software team in a stealth-mode startup for ML/AI compuational infrastructures.

Before this, I was the founding software engineer at Bigstream, a startup company for big data acceleration, building the whole software stack for big data acceleration, including multiple compilers, native acceleration runtimes/backends, and toolchains for hardware.

Between finishing my degrees and the beginning of the startup advantures, I had the great pleasure to work as a research engineer at Qualcomm Research Silicon Valley for 2.5 years, where I was working on the Pervasive Concurrency team to maximize the performance of heterogeneou multi-core platforms and develop advanced compiler technologies (Qualcomm MARE).

I did my Ph.D. work on Out-of-order Parallel Discrete Event Simulation for Electronic System-Level Design with Professor Rainer Dömer in the Center for Embedded Computer Systems (CECS) at University of California, Irvine from 2007 to 2013.

I have a B.S. (2004) and an M.S. (2007) in Computer Science and Engineering from Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU), China.

My research work focus on Parallel Computing and Compilers; Big Data Acceleration; System-level Modeling, Analysis, and Simulation.
