The WSCL group is led by Dr. Ahmed Eltawil. The research focus of the group lies in the area of efficient architectures for communications systems in general and wireless systems in particular. Specifically, we employ a multidisciplinary approach to the design and development of communication systems including but not limited to:

1. Design of system and VLSI architectures for broadband wireless communication.
2. Highly programmable and versatile ASIC/FPGA architectures for high speed data communications.
3. Physical layer communication system design including system architecture and partitioning, cross layer optimizations, and physical mapping to hardware. 
4. Implementations and architectures for efficient digital signal processing.
5. Digital circuit development including low power design and yield estimation.
