Over 45 graduate students, staff and faculty gathered together on March 5 to wish Dr. Sumit Gupta a warm farewell as he departs CECS to join the Tallwood Venture Capital group in Silicon Valley. Sumit was an integral member of CECS for 6 years, graduating with a Ph.D. in June 2003, followed by one-year as a Post-Doctoral Researcher. At CECS he worked on parallelizing high-level synthesis, reconfigurable computing, and low-power mobile computing. Professor Nikil Dutt, who hosted the event, is shown congratulating Sumit.
