Call for Applications – FADEx Cyber-Physical Systems

The Office for Science and Technology (OST) of the Embassy of France in the United States has opened the call for applications for the 2016 FADEx (French-American Doctoral Exchange) program focusing on Cyber-Physical Systems. US citizenship is not required, but French citizens enrolled in an American university are not eligible.

The FADEx program will take place in France from July 4 to July 8, 2016. Applications can be submitted until February 19, 2016.

IBM Research’s Accelerator Platforms group is seeking a Postdoctoral Researcher to work at its T.J. Watson Research Center in Yorktown Heights, NY.

The candidate will be part of a broader team working on various aspects of processor-accelerator architecture & design, computer algorithm development, Field-Programmable Gate Array (FPGA)-based application acceleration and prototyping.  Experience in logic design using Register Transfer Level (RTL) and/or high-level languages, synthesis and verification is required.  Familiarity with one or more of the following fields is desired: computer security, lossless and lossy data compression, machine learning or video processing.
