Prof. Alexandru Nicolau & Alexander Veidenbaum at the Biennale

Proclaimed as “Art Come Alive”,  At the Venice, Biennale, UCI professors Nicolau(left) and Veidenbaum(right) stand next to a composite of Nicolae Ceausescu.When asked “Who are you?”, Nothing happens. Not at first. “I was Ceausescu,” the painting suddenly responds, “secretary of the party and president of our country. You should have known that.” Now Ceausescu, or at least a digital composite of him, is “alive” again and answers questions from visitors who pass through the Romanian Institute of Culture and Humanistic Research in Venice, Italy.
