My Chinese name is Junyu Peng. Jerry was chosen as my English name because my wife,
a great cartoon fan, loves Tom and Jerry Show. She actually wanted to call me
Sylvester, the name of another cartoon cat. But it encountered my strong opposition.
I like Jerry much better because it is simple and it sounds like my
Chinese name.
